A GIFT FOR MY FUTURE SELF
Tripothon S1 | Sehyeon An
A hand-tracking PC VR piece for Meta Quest (via Link) on Windows.

WHAT YOU NEED
- Windows 10/11 PC with a VR-ready, DirectX 12 capable GPU
- Meta Quest 2 / 3 / 3S / Pro, connected with Quest Link (cable) or Air Link
- The Meta Quest Link app running on the PC
- Hand tracking turned on. No controllers are used.

SETUP (once)
1. In the Link app on the PC, set Meta Quest Link as the active OpenXR runtime
(Settings > General > OpenXR Runtime).
2. On the headset, turn on hand tracking (Settings > Movement tracking).
3. Clear a little space around you. You can sit or stand; the piece takes
place at a desk in front of you.

HOW TO RUN
1. Unzip the whole folder and keep all files together.
2. Put on the headset and start Link.
3. On the PC, double-click TripothonVR.exe.
4. Set the controllers down. Your hands will appear in the scene.

If you are not facing the desk, recenter: look at your palm, pinch your thumb
and index finger together and hold.

HOW TO PLAY (bare hands only)
- Pinch to pick things up.
- Bring a photo close to your face to step inside it.
- Touch screens and objects with your fingertip.
- Bring the headset to your face to put it on.
- Shake the last photo to develop it.

A soft light and a small label show what to do next. Each memory brings you
back to the desk by itself. The piece ends on a title card; to play again,
close the app and open it again.

TROUBLESHOOTING
- Nothing in the headset: start Link before opening the app, and check that
Meta Quest Link is the active OpenXR runtime.
- No hands: turn on hand tracking, put the controllers down, and hold your
  hands in front of you.
- To quit: press Alt+F4 on the PC.
- The Gaussian-splat worlds are GPU heavy. Close other apps if it stutters.
